Do I need to visit Georgia to register a company?
No. A notarised and apostilled power of attorney lets a lawyer register for you. You will usually need to appear for the bank account, or appoint a local director who can.
Can the company own property and land?
Apartments, commercial property and non-agricultural land, yes. Agricultural land is restricted for foreign ownership, including through a Georgian company in most cases.
What does a year of compliance cost?
A simple company with few transactions typically pays a local accountant a modest monthly fee; costs rise with payroll, VAT and audit requirements. We can introduce accountants we have checked.
